SUI Faces $15 Million in Daily Unlocks as BEAT Leads This Week’s $81 Million Token Release Wave

Key Takeaways

A Crowded Week for Token Unlocks

A token unlock occurs when previously restricted cryptocurrency, typically set aside for a project’s team, early investors or ecosystem fund, becomes available to trade on the open market. Cryptorank’s roundup named SUI as one of seven assets facing notable releases this week, alongside BEAT, BTW, Ethena’s ENA, EigenLayer’s EIGEN, Zama’s ZAMA and Kite AI’s KITE.

SUI unlock schedule

A separate tracker maintained by crypto analytics account Top7 put BEAT’s release at $74.9 million landing as a single cliff unlock on August 1, equal to roughly 2.12% of the token’s circulating supply. EIGEN and KITE unlock the same day, at $7.65 million and $6.08 million respectively, while BTW and ZAMA follow on August 2 with a combined $13.24 million.

SUI’s Unlock Works Differently

Unlike BEAT’s single cliff event, SUI does not release tokens in one lump sum. To elaborate, the Sui Network, developed by Mysten Labs, distributes new supply on a continuous daily basis to categories that include community reserves, early contributors and the Mysten Labs treasury.

That structure spreads roughly $15.4 million worth of SUI into circulation across the week rather than concentrating the impact on a single trading day.

SUI’s max supply is capped at 10 billion tokens, of which about 4.05 billion, or roughly 40%, are already circulating. The token currently trades at $0.69 as of July 29, giving it a market capitalization near $2.78 billion.

On August 1 alone, roughly 13.72 million SUI unlocks across three stakeholder groups, i.e. 4 million to the community reserve, 7.65 million to early contributors and 2.07 million to the Mysten Labs treasury.

Why Unlocks Move Markets

Large unlocks matter to traders because they expand the pool of tokens that can be sold at once. When new supply lands on exchanges faster than demand absorbs it, prices can face downward pressure, particularly for tokens where unlocked holders include venture investors or early team members looking to realize gains.

Analysts who track vesting calendars argue the effect is strongest around cliff unlocks like BEAT’s, where a large percentage of supply arrives at once, rather than gradual daily releases like SUI’s.

That aspect in itself has made SUI a recurring name on unlock trackers without necessarily signaling acute sell pressure. The token has appeared on weekly unlock lists throughout 2026 given its size and continuous vesting design, even as the Sui ecosystem has posted unrelated gains elsewhere.

Mysten Labs cut Sui Network’s transaction fees earlier this year, a move Bitcoin.com News reported helped drive $65 billion in stablecoin volume on the network, suggesting trader attention on the asset extends well beyond its unlock calendar.

The next signal worth watching is whether SUI’s price holds steady through that August 1-2 window even as five other tokens absorb concentrated releases at the same time, a test that could shape how traders price in future Sui Network unlock weeks.
